Hale was a 23rd century Human woman. She was the commanding officer of the Miranda-class USS Kobayashi Maru II in 2270.
History[]
The Kobayashi Maru II responded to a priority-1 emergency call from the Zachary Taylor, but they did not answer hails. When the freighter appeared on the viewscreen, Hale became suspicious and asked her Andorian science officer conduct a full sensor scan. The freighter suddenly turned into a D7-class Klingon battlecruiser and fired at the Kobayashi Maru II, destroying the vessel. (TOS comic: "The Final Voyage")
