Borona Fenn is a female Frunalian working in the Sciences Division of Starfleet. She graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2304, where she had extensivley studied geology, chemistry, cosmology, and physics. In 2311, she held the rank of Ensign and served as Chief Science Officer of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-B).
Fenn first noticed signs of "The Shift", a time of metamorphosis for the Frunalians when a chitinous part of her fingertip fell off during the USS Universe trials. Fenn noted that the shift rarely happened this early in life. Following the Tomed Incident, she took a leave of absence from Starfleet in order to undergo the Shift in private on the Frunalian homeworld.
