Born 15 December 1911, Stan Kenton was a jazz musician whose works included Grammy-winning Adventures in Time. Wesley Crusher stood in several times on bongos, most notably at the Birdland. In return, he gave William Riker a trombone lesson. He died in 1979. (SNW VII: Adventures in Time and Jazz)
