Demons of Air and Darkness is a Deep Space Nine novel written by Keith R.A. DeCandido and published in September 2001. It is the fourth novel in both the Deep Space Nine Relaunch and the Gateways miniseries. This novel features the Hirogen and the Malon, two races native to the Delta Quadrant that were introduced in Star Trek: Voyager. The novel ends on a cliffhanger, which is concluded in Horn and Ivory, one of the novellas featured in What Lays Beyond, the final book in the Gateways miniseries.
